ritorno dopo molto tempo sul mio amato blog💗.

 

Sì, infatti i post "estratti" e "citazioni" sono dei post programmati a cadenza, tra l'altro, casuale. 

Colgo così l'occasione per segnalarvi la mia lettura attuale, per cui 

Scholomance. Lezioni pericolose

La Scholomance è una scuola di magia diversa da tutte le altre. 

Qui non esistono insegnanti né vacanze, e non è possibile riuscire a stringere amicizie disinteressate perché gli unici legami che si possono costruire sono strategici. Soprattutto, è una scuola dove il fallimento è sinonimo di morte certa (sul serio!). 

Le regole, alla Scholomance, sono drammaticamente semplici: non devi mai aggirarti da solo per i corridoi della scuola. E devi prestare continua attenzione ai mangia-anime, pericolose creature mostruose che si annidano ovunque. Sopravvivere è più importante di qualsiasi voto. Una volta entrato nella scuola, infatti, hai solo due modi per uscirne: diplomarti... o morire! Ma l'ingresso alla Scholomance di una nuova studentessa, El, è destinato a cambiare le carte in tavola e a portare alla luce alcuni segreti dell'istituto. 

Galadriel "El" Higgins, infatti, è straordinariamente dotata. Forse, tra tutti gli studenti, è l'unica preparata a una scuola tanto pericolosa. Pur non avendo dalla sua un gran numero di alleati - la maggior parte degli studenti la tiene a distanza perché di lei ha molta paura... e perché non è quel che si dice una ragazza amabile - e non incarnando esattamente l'idea di eroina senza macchia, potrebbe senza troppi sforzi evocare un potere oscuro così forte da radere al suolo intere montagne e annientare milioni di persone ignare e innocenti. 

Per lei, infatti, sarebbe un gioco da ragazzi usare la sua magia per sbarazzarsi una volta per tutte dei mostri che infestano la scuola e che attendono la notte per aggredire e uccidere i suoi compagni. Il problema non proprio trascurabile è che farvi ricorso potrebbe portare alla morte di tutti gli altri studenti... 

Naomi Novik ha creato una scuola che pullula di una magia che non avete mai visto prima e un'eroina così atipica e ricca di sfumature che vivrà a lungo nei vostri cuori e nelle vostre menti.

Al momento la lettura procede a rilento anche perché, onestamente, mi aspettavo una storia leggermente diversa con una Galadriel potente, ma non così scontrosa, aggressiva e lunatica.

Molto bene. 

Cassian c'è. 

Nesta....ugh. 

Non mi è piaciuto il suo personaggio. Anche se c'è una frase che mi fa sorridere data la somiglianza con la sottoscritta (slow to forgive). 

Spero, con questa nuova avventura, di trovare quella stessa passione amore che ho potuto assaporare con Rhys e Feyre. Mi mancano!!!!!

Comunque, della trama mi piace:

1- Cass che non demorde ed in particolare questa frase: "The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other";

2- Non vedo l'ora di leggere queste nuove alleanze pericolose e fragili, soprattutto con le Regine Umane. 

Ed infine ciò che cerchiamo tutti ossia "search for acceptance and healing in each other's arms" [Prossimamente. Solo nei libri. Chiedo scusa per la visione cinica].

Callypso Lillis è una sirena con un problema molto grosso, uno che la riporta a forza nel suo passato. Negli ultimi sette anni ha collezionato un braccialetto di perle nere sul polso, magici favori che ha ricevuto. Solo la morte od un pagamento potrebbe adempiere a questi obblighi. Solo allora le perle scompariranno. 

Tutti sanno che se dovessi aver bisogno di un favore, dovresti andare dall'affarista (adattamento personale di bargainer) per far sì che accada. E' un uomo che può farti avere qualsiasi cosa tu voglia...ma ad un prezzo. E tutti sanno che presto o tardi lo esigerà.

Ma per uno dei suoi clienti non ha mai richiesto un pagamento. Fino ad ora. Quando Callie sorprende il Re della notte, fae, nella sua camera, con un sorriso sulle labbra ed uno scintillio negli occhi, sa che le cose stanno per cambiare. All'inizio è solo un casto bacio dal valore di una singola perla ed una promessa per altro. 

Per l'affarista, è molto più che una questione di riaccendere una vecchia storia d'amore. Qualcosa sta accadendo nell'Altro Mondo. I guerrieri fatati stanno sparendo uno dopo l'altro. Solo le donne ritornano, ognuna in una bara di vetro, con un bambino stretto al loro petto. E allora ci sono i sussurri tra gli schiavi, sussurri di un qualcosa di malvagio che è stato risvegliato. 

Se l'affarista avesse qualche speranza di salvare la sua gente, avrà bisogno dell'aiuto della sirena che ha respinto tempo prima. Solo che il suo nemico ha gusto per le creature esotiche e Callie è una di loro. 

☞Un must per i fan di Sarah J.Maas.

☞Commento:

Bene. Questo è decisamente un libro che finisce direttamente nella mia wishlist , lo leggerò [nella mia mente: chissà quando tra i mille impegni ].

Cosa mi intriga?

Sicuramente:

• il Re della notte;
• una qualche oscura minaccia che si è, misteriosamente, risvegliata;
• la sparizione di guerrieri ed il ritorno solo di donne, in uno stato, a mio avviso, inconsueto (sì, ricorda tanto Biancaneve o la Bella Addormentata); 
• Ed infine, ultimo elemento ma non per questo meno importante, la storia d'amore.
